If you have a church wedding it is more personal.

I guess it depends on how religious you are. Some people might say one is with God's blessing and the other with law. I'm sure they both work if the people in involved think so.

Having a full wedding (no matter the location) is more special than a JP. Your entire family is there as well as close friends. Pictures preserve the day for a very long time (digital is a great way to keep them from fading) and you will always have the little memories.

If you want a very simple and inexpensive wedding, the JP is the way to go.

Whatever you choose, make sure it is YOUR choice and not everyone else's!!

I eloped when I married first time. Big mistake. The day was a disaster with nobody to help me when everything started to go wrong!

Eloping is good if you don't like crowds or planning weddings or just want to get it done. Having a ceremony is nice because while it costs alot, you get good memories. Don't forget all of the gifts you will receive to help you on your way as well. Sometimes during my wedding plans I wanted to elope because it sounded quick and painless, but in the end I was so glad to have had a full wedding ceremony with a bunch of guests. Mostly, I think it's personal preference though. You should do what you think you will love the most.

A full wedding is the best because you get to keep all the memories for that special day. For most people, marriage is a one-time event so make full use of the occasion.
