:? What is the appropriate amount to spend on gifts for those in your party? I don't have much to spend but I don't want to seem cheap either! Does "the thought" count for anything????

The thought is what matters. For my wedding (last July) My husband and I could not afford much either. We decided to spend $25 per person. There were some people that I didn't even spend that much on because I found some good sales. My sister purchased jewlery for her brides maids and had them engraved (we wore the jewlery for the wedding.) If you want something more elegent, try looking at Things Remembered. You can find a lot of neat things there that are engravable. I always look at the sales area first. Happy shopping!

We purchased jewelry for our bridesmaids because you have to get it anyway for their dresses and it takes care of that and your gift. I think that was a nice gift. Hey, everyone's on a budget and it is the thought that counts.
Well I think this basically depends on the wedding of the person and the importance that person has in the life of the person invited. Basically I arrange myself to purchase a gift depending on this.

I don't think there is an exact amount that you must spend. If you're on a budget look for sales or make the gifts yourself. For example get some picture frames and decorate the frame yourself. Then add your favorite pic of you and each BMs. This way you are personalizing the gifts which makes it special.
