First of all, welcome to the forum. Secondly, where are the upper blue mountains? Sounds very romantic. As far as a gown with long sleeves, that's not going to be super easy to find. Most of the gowns coming out today are strapless. It would be nice to see some long sleeves from some of these manufacturers. I know that Bonny has a lot of that sheer sleeve but it's not really going to help as far as warmth goes. You may want to consider getting a shawl or what not. You can have those made out of any fabric. A velvet would probably be nice and warm. Another option is to buy one of these strapless gowns and have someone add sleeves to it. Just an idea.

Another fun idea that I think is very elegant would be a bollero jacket.
This is a chic jacket that ends just under the bust @ your ribcage.
They come in satin, velvet, or chiffon and you could get 3/4 length, or full sleeves.
Much luck to ya!

Hello and thanks for the suggestions.... The Blue Mountains are 2 hrs drive west of Sydney Australia.... an average day in August would be between 5 and 15 degrees C. Low humidity and moderate winds.

I think i'm too tall for bolero jackets.. i had one for my school prom... i looked a bit goofy... lol but nice suggestion anyway... i might yet do that if i end up getting them for the bridesmaids.

How about a full length cape? There are several cool styles. Most capes I have found are for Rennaissance weddings. Good Luck!
