We've known each other since high school (high school sweet hearts!!)... we were together for about four and a half years before we got married (three and a half before engagement). My H2B was my best male friend for 5 years before we got together! He proposed after just 6 months! I was'nt even divorced yet but we started planning our wedding straight away regardless. Sounds bad but I was fully divorced 4 months later anyway and theres still another 15 months before our wedding anyway.

We dated straight from our 10th and 11th grade years until we married after Graduation from College. 5 years. Have now been married most happily for 11 years. The lord provided me with a wonderful woman and I knew it in High School.

My fiancee and I dated for three months before becoming engaged. Early engagment and marriage is common for my family. My own parents became engaged after three months at 18 and married six months later, they've been happily married for almost 29 years :). My grandparents merely 6 weeks before becoming engaged and married not to long after that, they've been happy for over 40 years.

I have known my husband since the day I met him when I finished eighth grade. During high school we dated off and on, we did not go to the same high school, we actually met at church. Then as soon as I graduated from high school we ended up seeing eachother and going to the same college. From there we dated for 10 years and just got married last August 13, 2006.

I think it was beneficial to be together so long before we got married, we got through all of the icky stuff, figured eachother out and have been happy every since.

I knew my boyfriend for three years before he proposed.
