What bride can possibly stick to her budget when there are so many beautiful things out there?!
I know that I forced myself to stick to a budget of £650 for my dress and veil but I ended up doubling the actual spend because I just could'nt resist my dress and the stunning full length veil to go with it!!
The rest of the wedding is going this way too!

I had some of the same problem. My dress was ok (I ordered online and saved $200), but I insisted on preserving the bouquet which is very expensive. In all I think our little conservative wedding cost $2000 more than I had wanted. Oh, well. It was a wonderful wedding and I would not change any of it!

For our wedding we budgeted around $15000.00, and that's right about what we spent. I think it's good to research a bunch of say photographers, get all their prices and see what the average cost is and then make that your budget. Thats what we did in the beginning and we actually spent what we thought we would.

As far as having to have everything. I just tried to keep a level head and decide first, did I really have to have this, second, can i afford this, and thirdly, is it going to make a difference.

When I gave myself honest answers, I splurged when I really thought I had to have it and didn't spend the money on it when I didn't really need to.
