Almost everyone loves kids, but not always at weddings. One of my greatest fears is that one of these little angels would decide to see why my dress was so big and climb underneath it. A friend suggested a coloring table or board to keep the younger people busy while the big people play. It worked great!
What other ways can big people keep the children happy and out from under foot?

If there will be several older children, consider hiring an entertianer to keep them occupied. Check out gigmasters.com for ideas.
They have ballon artists, magicians, etc. Many of these can perform quietly and are very good.
If there is going to be several very small children, consider hiring a baby sitting service to watch them in a nearby room. Many hotels offer this service.
Good luck!

For our wedding reception. we had a arranged seating. So we knew exactly where all of those little angels were sitting. We made up little kid activity bags for each child (we had about 15 little children) at their own seat, personalized. We filled them with coloring books, crayons, sun glasses, sugar free (no sugar!) candies and little things like that from the dollar store.
Let me tell you, it worked great! There were no angry crying miserable children at our wedding. They all had a great time playing together. It was wonderful. I suggest doing a kiddie bag idea, what kid doesn't want to get a gift at a boring wedding!
