Hey mnt man, for proposing, this is a big thing, but if you do it with thoughtfulness and caring...it will go a long way. Mine was not perfect, but he tried and that made it all the more special. He got a custom made ring, via his ideas, incorperating mine, and then took me out to dinner just the two of us. The waiter came in a started gushing, while I was still holding the ring in my hand, and proceeded to talk for a few minutes. Needless to say, we look back on it with a laugh, but he did what I liked. keeping it simple and from the heart. So...in your question, sit and think about your other half, what do they like and dislike...then go from there. I am sure they have dropped hints from time to time...pay attention to those. Good luck!

That's awesome. I ddn't do a very good job :(. Well I guess you never do. It's hard to find that perfect moment. I guess whenever it happens no matter how it happens it is a perfect moment :)

I did mine on a tall ship!

It was a dinner cruise thing. I had everything planned, except for warmer weather. I had to switch from my slacks to shorts and was paniced that the ring box would show! I untucked my shirt and it did the trick, but looked a little sloppy. My bride to be asked me to tuck it in, but I informed her I would be too warm. She wasn't happy with me looking sloppy (hard way to start an engagement). Once on the ship, at an appropriate time I asked someone to take our picture. He did, and as he started to hand the camera back I said "just a minute, can you take one more". I got down on one knee and attempted to propose. Luckily I had the ring, because "Will You Mary Me" was barely aubible through my nervous blubbering. She gave me a hug and a minute later said "Oh, I didn't say yes! Yes I will Mary you!"
